DESCRIPTION:

This is a knife from the AL Williams collection, it is show on page 53 at the top. The knife is very early, Al said 1970, and calls it a upswept skinner, it is neither a 1970 knife or a full blown upswept skinner. It was made in early 1960’s, Loveless was still in the shop in Lawndale by himself. This is a very early Semi Skinner, notice the unusual grind line on the top of the knife. Loveless was yet to come up with the semi skinner we all know today. This was very early, crude steel notice the color of the blade, could be the Special Melt steel he had made, that never gave a mirror polish. Cocabolo handle, with a 4 1/4” blade, with some excellent Crosshatching.

This is about as cheap as you will ever see a book knife from the AL Williams book “Living on the Edge” which is now selling , if you can find one, for over $600. Own a piece of Loveless history.

PRICE: $,5500
